Hillcrest Memorial Gardens

Cemetery grounds with above the ground headstones  at Aycock Funeral Home.Hillcrest Memorial Gardens covers 41 sweeping acres between Fort Pierce and Vero Beach, on the east side of Highway 1. The picturesque cemetery has 11 statuary features, including a prominent arch and cross located in the center of the property at the highest point. These features create a graceful backdrop for our many cemetery options, including private family and community mausoleum crypts, niches for cremation urns, space for in-ground burials, lawn crypts, private burial estates and cremation gardens.

We honor veterans

Aycock Funeral Home & Hillcrest Memorial Gardens understands the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families. As a Level One Founding Community Partner with We Honor Veterans, our staff is knowledgeable in the benefits available to veterans and their families. With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

Holiday luminary event

Each December, we invite the public to join us for a community luminary service. We light thousands of candles throughout the cemetery grounds and funeral home, turning the property into a glowing tribute to the loved ones we have served.

History

G. Wade Aycock opened Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart on South Federal Highway in December 1968. A businessman and compassionate funeral professional, he quickly established a reputation for providing fine funeral, memorial, burial and cremation services.

Treasure Coast expansion

Cemetery grounds at Hillcrest Memorial GardensHis 1st expansion was into Jensen Beach in 1973. Later, in 1982, Wade opened a 3rd location of Aycock Funeral Home on Floresta Drive in Port Saint Lucie. Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center opened in Jupiter in 1987. The 5th Aycock Funeral Home was added to the grounds of Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce in 1996.

Along the way, the original Stuart location also built an on-site crematory. Aycock Funeral Home opened a 2nd location on Bayshore Boulevard in Port Saint Lucie in 1995. It combined operations with Roger L. Byrd – Port St. Lucie Funeral Home in 2004 and is now known as Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel. In addition, a 2nd Stuart location operates as Aycock Funeral Home – Young & Prill Chapel, about 15 minutes south of the original Stuart location.

Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and affiliated locations

Aycock Funeral Home & Hillcrest Memorial Gardens are both affiliated with other Aycock Funeral Home locations in Jupiter, Stuart, Port Saint Lucie and Jensen Beach, as well as Fernhill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Stuart and Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.
